Match Preview.
NWCFL Premier Division.
Tuesday 4th April 2023.
Vauxhall Motors, following their 4-2 win on Saturday afternoon against Squires Gate, travel to fellow promotion chasers Bury AFC on Tuesday night.
The Motors started the weekend’s game on the front foot as Lewis Buckley put his side into the lead on the tenth minute mark before defender Adam Hughes got his first goal for the club just before half time to double the scoreline.
However, Squires Gate would level up with an improved second half performance before Michael Burkey struck a late winner sparking wild celebrations.
The upcoming game against Bury will come just one week after The Motormen’s 2-1 victory against them. Quick fire goals from Ben Holmes and Connor Harwood just before halftime put the hosts into the lead at The VanEupen Arena as a late strike from Joe Denman set up a tense finish.
Tricky forward Burkey can be expected to make another start after his efforts were rewarded in Blackpool.
