Vauxhall Motors’ first game of 2024 brings a trip to face City of Liverpool at the Berry Street Garage Stadium.
The Motormen are in a good run of form despite Boxing Day’s late defeat to Widnes.
Danny Holmes’ side conceded a penalty in the dying minutes of the festive tie, the referee’s decision surprising mostly everyone inside the VanEupen Arena, after Tom Mitchell brought the game level.
Highly talented full-back Ethan Gouldbourne was dismissed following the visitors late strike. However, Vauxhall have been operating well in the transfer window recently and Adam Hughes has proved to be a reliable source of strength in the backline. Gouldbourne will be available for selection on New Years Day however Sean Moscrop will still be suspended following his red card at Witton Albion before Christmas.
City of Liverpool, formed as recently as 2015, are positioned tenth in the Northern Premier League Division One West thus the game is set to be a good challenge.
For the first time in 2024, we look forward to seeing you getting behind Holmes’ men, on the road!
