Vauxhall Motors v Kendal Town – Preview Report.
By Reece Gavin & Ethan Hoijord.
Vauxhall Motors’ season gets underway this Saturday. McGraa’s side face Kendal Town who are managed by Jimmy Marshall at VanEupen Arena.
The Town, who play at Parkside Road in Cumbria, were relegated from the Northern Premier League Division One West last time out as they failed to register a win in their last four games to finish 18th.
After a successful first season in the Premier Division the Motormen are looking to build on their finish last year and push towards the top of the table.
A strong pre-season for the Ellesmere Port side was concluded with a 3-0 victory over A41 rivals Cammell Laird, last Saturday.
The excitement around the Motors fanbase has been building this week as it’s been a busy week off the pitch for the NWCFL Premier Division side.
Over the course of the week leading to Saturday’s league opener there’s been four new signings announced. Further additions expected to be made before the season opener.
Adam Smith, Aaron Dawson, Francois Antoine, Lewis Buckley and Bobbie McDonnell are all available for selection this weekend.
