Vauxhall Motors host Crewe Alexandra on Tuesday night in Cheshire Senior Cup action.
The Motormen have been adjusting to life without boss Mick McGraa, who has recently moved on to pastures new at Bootle.
Bootle have snapped up former Motors defender Sam Hughes, McGraa clearly having as much love for his former side as they and the supporters of the club have for him following this summer’s promotion and last year’s Cheshire Senior Cup run to the Final.
It is his former assistant Joe Heath that now sits in the dugout, as a comprehensive search for the new appointment is underway. The new boss, expected to be of a high standard given the candidates, will be announced soon.
Crewe will prove to be a great challenge. The Railwaymen, guided by former player Lee Bell, currently sit in The Play-Off Spots in League Two and will want to add to their positive winning momentum.
