Motors visit Runcorn Linnets in huge NPL West tie

Vauxhall Motors travel to Runcorn Linnets on Saturday afternoon in Northern Premier League West Division action following last weekend’s comeback victory at home to Hednesford.
It has been a mixed start to Joe Heath’s time as interim manager, as they were knocked out of the Cheshire Senior Cup against Crewe Alexandra at The VanEupen Arena last time out.
Tuesday brought a frustrating ninety minutes as Heath chose to spread minutes across his squad, giving those who hadn’t played much previously some game time. Vauxhall were unable to bring themselves back into the tie after conceding two goals early on.
Goalkeeper Sam Booth may be available for selection, he has provided the media team with a good laugh, keeping himself busy on commentating duties after recently being concussed. However, winger Michael Burkey may be out after coming off with a limp in midweek.
Runcorn Linnets have picked up a couple more points than The Motors this season, this is reflected in the league table as they are a few places above their visitors in 14th. Thus, a good contest is set to be had at The APEC Taxis Stadium on Saturday.
All support for Joe Heath’s Motormen is greatly appreciated thus we look forward to seeing you getting behind the team!
