Following Vauxhall Motors’ one-all draw away at Avro last weekend, Mick McGraa’s Motormen travel to West Didsbury and Chorlton on Saturday afternoon.
It is set to be a special day as The Motors will lift the title that they have worked so hard for across the course of the campaign in the NWCFL Premier Division.
Connor Harwood opened the scoreline against Avro as he pounced on a mistake by the hosts’ defence and the scoreline was levelled before the break. Goalkeeper Sam Booth produced a fantastic save when play resumed as The Motormen frustrated their fellow promotion candidates.
McGraa said ‘Avro have shown their class today by leaving us with drinks in the dressing room and giving us a guard of honour as we entered the pitch, they didn’t have to do that’.
However he also explained that there are plenty of injuries with the dazzling Michael Burkey set to be out for a lengthy period of time.
West Didsbury and Chorlton, simply nicknamed West, come into the game on the back of a 4-1 away defeat at Litherland Remyca on Wednesday.
