Following The Motormen’s victory against Litherland Remyca on Saturday afternoon, Mick McGraa’s side are back in action on Tuesday night as they travel to Charnock Richard.

Ryan Donnellan is the manager of Charnock, who are currently placed 13th in the NWCFL Premier table and the club’s last three games have resulted in a victory and two defeats.

The last time that Motors travelled to Mossie Park, Chorley, was in early March and they brought all three points back to Ellesmere Port with three goals. Ethan Gouldbourne, Craig Cairns and Ben Holmes were the scorers.

Charnock’s biggest home win came when they faced Bottesford Town in The Isuzu FA Vase in August as the tie resulted in a 8-0 scoreline, their highest attendance was recorded earlier this month as 223 were in attendance for the club’s league game against Longridge Town.

C.Richard were re-formed in 1955 as they re-joined the Chorley Alliance League. Their promotion to the NWCFL Premier came in 2017 as they won promotion in their first season in Division One.

Did you know?
The village was named in the early 13th century by the local landowner, who gave the township his first name of Richard, to distinguish it from neighbouring Heath Charnock.

Mick McGraa’s comments after his side’s victory over Remyca on Saturday:
“Litherland Remyca made the game really difficult for us but I felt we should’ve killed the game off with some of the chances that we created. It’s fantastic that we’re still unbeaten in the league and I hope that we can continue that in midweek”.
