Vauxhall Motors remain unbeaten as they were held to a goalless draw at home by Wythenshawe Town.

It was almost a disastrous start for the Motors. A ball into the box was not dealt with by keeper James McClenaghan as he slipped it right into the path of Wythenshawe’s striker, who smashes it against the post.

After that early chance, the home side came at the visitors with Burkey firing his low shot just wide of the post.

Very nearly for Vauxhall, Conor Harwood was left alone on the right and sent through on goal. The keeper rushed for it but the forward lobbed his effort over the bar.

Challenges were being thrown in by both sides. One too many for Lowe on the visiting team as he is shown the first yellow card of the game.

The game became more feisty as the half went on, Michael Burkey shook of a challenge by Palma and fed a pass through to Harwood. He found Ben Holmes in the box but its well defended by Wythenshawe.

Mix up at the back for the Motors, a back pass across the box saw Bryan latch onto the ball. The keeper saved well with his feet.

A change for the visitors at half time saw Bianga coming on for Wilkinson.

A slow start for both sides at the start of the second half. However, it has been firing up, as things kicked off in midfield. James Dwyer is booked as a result.

Vauxhall’s first change of the game, Lewis Buckley made way for Bobbie McDonnell.

Clash of heads in the motors final third, Aaron Dawson goes down under the challenge and Aaron Dwyer goes into the books.

The final substitution of the match for the away side, Potts came on for Aaron Dwyer.

Vauxhall nearly had the opener when Burkey found himself through on goal. The visitors keeper came rushing out, the forward does well to go round the keeper. His touch was a heavy one but still managed to pick out a team mate in the box. The ball is deflected off the line .

Bianga was the next Wythenshawe player to be booked as he stopped a motors counter attack.

Another fiery tackle, this time by Greg Drummond as a results saw yellow by the referee.

It was the Motors captains turn to go into the book as he took down Potts in a dangerous area. The following free kick looked promising but is wasted at the back post.

A late chance for the visitors, Palma danced his way into the box, but his effort was deflected behind for a corner.

Vauxhall Motors take on Kendal Town away from home next Saturday 3pm.
