The draw for the Fourth Round of the Buildbase F. A. Vase has given Mick McGraa’s Vauxhall Motors a home tie against the Northern League’s top club Hebburn Town, on Saturday 11th January.
This will be the fourth consecutive Vase match against Northern League opponents, but this one looks like being the toughest one yet for the in-form Motors. They have already accounted for Jarrow away and Sunderland Ryhope and Newcastle Benfield at home in the last three rounds.
Hebburn were the Division Two runners-up two years ago, then First Division runners-up last spring and currently top the table in the North East. They also reached the Fifth Round of the Vase last season.
The winners of this tie will be in the final sixteen of the competition, the final of which is played at Wembley Stadium in mid-May.
