Vauxhall Motors returned to the VanEupen Arena on Tuesday evening, beating Congleton Town by 2 goals to nil, thanks to a Ben Dufton-Kelly header and an own goal.
A minutes silence was held ahead of the game in memory of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Congleton shown that they were more likely to score in the early stages. The visitors manage to draw out some corners from wide areas, but Needham could not make them count.
The visitors failed to make the pressure count as the hosts took the lead. A similar corner routine to the visitors, the home side crowd out the keeper on the line. Ben Duffton-Kelly makes a darting near post run to head home, putting the Motors a goal up.
Kick off in midfield as Haydn Cooper was brought down in a hard challenge by Thomas Pope. The forward is shown yellow as well as Marcus James for getting involved.
Shortly after Jones-Griffiths was shown a yellow for his tackle on James.
Michael Burkey caused some problems for Williams on the left side. The winger had some sights on goal, firing over and just wide of the post.
The home side soon came to regret those misses as Congleton thought they had the ball in the net, but it was ruled out for an offside.
A second yellow card for Pope as he clashed into James McClenaghan in the Motors goal. Referee Anthony Ross took a second before showing red to the forward. The visitors were down to 10 men.
A half time substitute for the hosts, Ben Holmes came on for Haydn Cooper.
Congleton piled the pressure onto the home side, with Vauxhall yet to have any real possession in the second half. They could not make the pressure count.
A refereeing error saw Jones-Griffiths shown a second yellow card but not sent off for the visitors.
The Motors Adam Smith was introduce for Francois Antoine, who had a quiet night. The visitors made more changes, Johns and Beaumont coming off for Clarke and Hampton.
More substitutions for both sides, Aaron Dawson replaced Jordan Deer for the hosts, Jones-Griffiths made way for Faulkner.
After all the pressure and changes by the away side, they could not make it count. The Motors get a second goal late on, the ball comes in low across the 6 yard box and it is put in by Needham. A game killer for the hosts.
Late change for Vauxhall, Joseph Heath came on to replace goal of the month winner, Michael Burkey.
A fantastic all round performance for the Motormen, as they stay top of the table heading in to Game Week 12.
Vauxhall will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to 11 games when they take on Squires Gate at The VanEupen Arena, 3pm kick off.
